One of the biggest hurdles for pilots (especially drones) is knowing when you can and can't fly. A Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) is issued whenever a large event happens, such as parades, presidential visits, professional sporting events, etc. in areas that are otherwise normally legal to fly in.

As a result a lot of people end up flying illegally in these zones and the penalties/fines are steep, even if you are a professional Part 107 pilot. As it stands the only way to know if there is a TFR or not is to check your flight app or the FAA website for the given area you want to fly in. IMO there needs to be a better way, a lot of people who get busted for flying in these aren't out to break the law, they're simply unaware. They "should" know to go look first but most of the time that's not the case.

This app lets the user choose a state(s), turn on their notifications and set it and forget it. It will alert them of any new TFRs. I've released these screens to the drone community and there is a ton of interest in this. All it's essentially doing is taking from the official FAA XML feed and putting it all together. Worked with Claude Fable and Opus 5 (high) on this and it took about a week. It's waiting for approval from the App Store now.
