Conversation cleary monitored and not sure how

Mine are 13F (wide) - they kinda look like flippers, how wide they are. *shrug*.

My nephew was my height and shoe size at 13....he finally stopped at 6'5" and a size 14 shoe. Told him he needs to make friends with the people that work at shoe stores - as the Mom's with teens tend to get in there when new product comes in and snatch up the larger sizes for their boys.

Don't have that wide of feet, but I do have quad E wide. I always have problems finding shoes in my width that do not look like orthotic shoes. Then, when I finally find something with a bit of pizzazz, the style usually goes out of production or is only offered in Black or Brown. The most recent problem I had was finding a good insulated winter boot that fit me AND could take an additional pair of wool socks. Had to eventually do the go up a size trick.

I have serious duck feet, and have always ended up getting shoes that have 2" of empty space in front of my toes (might be good for smuggling, I suppose). Came in handy that one time I got my shoe sucked into an escalator (shoe was toast, toes just fine), but mostly it makes me clumsy because I cannot tell where the end of my shoe is relative to my foot.

Then I discovered these things. Some people think they are goofy-looking, but the ones I talk to really like them. I mean, bare is my preferred footwear, and these things have soles that cling to a wet river rock (which can sometimes be awkward on a nice dry floor). Downside being that, when they get wet, they get cold and stay cold.
