these trees slowly die a the soil erodes and the rock falls now and becomes sand.

A friend’s garden: the roses are “ramblers” and climb over a fence. The rose blooms all at once and will not re-bloom later in the season as many other roses do.
Beautiful to see but I prefer the floribunda quality : roses all summer long.

Maybe the best restaurant in the city. Pricey, but really well-crafted food. Not a bad view from our table.

(There is a stern-wheeler down the line, but it is not really visiible in this shot.)

"Let's go to the top of Mt. Washington, it'll be a lot of fun!" I said to my Finnish cousins. Temp 25 with the wind chill, raining, winds 66 MPH with gusts up to 80, and 0 visibility.
