Welcome to the Photo of the Day thread for this month! All members are invited to participate, share your favorite and/or best images..... Not a lot of rules here, but one photo per day is the limit, and must be the member's own work. There are no limitations on gear used, so grab your iPhone, your P&S, your compact camera, your DSLR or your mirrorless ILC and join in! Oh, and there are no restrictions on subject matter (except must be Safe For Work [SFW], of course), so shoot away: we'd like to see your best efforts!

Images can be from one's archives or fresh out of the camera -- the photographer's choice.

... a recent shopping find -- full stalks of local celery, with the leaves left on ... yay!! Good price for two, and I went for it!! With thoughts for use in future soups, casseroles, and such, most went into the freezer.

Wow! Your stove gave me a flashback - I think my Mom had the same one in the house I grew up in. :D

Heh - it's funny how appliances can bring back memories - friends had the same fridge and toaster I had in my first house in the early 90's. :)

.. an early-morning view on a walk through a local Municipal park in the neighbourhood earlier this week -- looking a touch like Autumn's on its way (early leaf fall is likely mostly due to the very dry and hot weather this summer).

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

I made this photo looking upward from the ground floor, up seven floors through the light shaft where two people are crossing the bridge at the top, beneath the skylight.
