It was rough seeing this. The man has always exuded so much character, so much strength. Seeing his ads during the pandemic about getting the vaccine, seemed like that extra mile he didn't need to do, but did anyways. He will be missed.

Russell showed as much love and respect to younger players as they showed to him. Some, like Charles Barkley, referred to him simply as “Mr. Russell.”
