One huge benefit of Trump’s big mouth. This is when an egomaniacal, draft dodging sociopath feels comfortable letting his inner feelings hang out because he thinks the cult members have to love him and everything he says. If he was a smart fascist, he‘d try to enamor himself with the military. He’s NOT smart. Killer ad:

I saw this yesterday. I think the Biden campaign is doing a good job of appealing to the middle.

We have to remember a wide swath of America is just not interested in this stuff, and Biden will need those people to see the danger of the convicted felon and the need to vote for the rational adult in the room.

So did a memo go out?

In the past 2 days Politico has an article about the Biden family business and how it is more involved than Joe wants you to know:

And today the NYT had an article about Joe's embellishments over the years. Yes, they hammer Trump on his lies too, but that is expected from the NYT. May need a ssub.

And both of these are on the heels of the WSJ article where some in Congress, including some Democrats, that Biden has been slipping (sub required):

https://www.wsj.com/politics/policy/joe-biden-age-election-2024-8ee15246

But here is The Hill's take on it:

So did the memo go out that they realize he is going to lose so they are laying the groundwork to replace him?

So apparently YOU didn't get the memo about what it will mean if Trump is elected. I'm not talking hypotheticals - I mean what YOUR family's and their descendants' lives will be like when Trump rolls back progress on climate change, or how YOUR daughter will fare if she's unable to get abortion care, to mention just two of many issues.

Instead of commenting on the posted Biden ad's content and either acknowledging it or even attempting to refute it, you respond with a brew of what-about-Biden's-age-isms that have been covered endlessly in other threads.

Well let's see some comparisons.

Gas under Trump/Biden: $2.45/$3.67

Inflation: 1.9%/5.54% (Biden can say inflation was at 9% when he took office and the media may let him get away with it, but any of you is capable of checking this)

Border Crossings: 1.9M/4.9M (note that is 4 years for Trump and 3 years for Biden)

I can list a whole bunch more things if you like.

I am a pocketbook voter for the most part. Sure I may get riled up some over social issues, but when push meets shove, I vote with my pocketbook. As do many people. An example would be I am in favor of abortion and not happy SCOTUS did what they did. But it won't sway my vote.

As for Climate Change, 1) I am still waiting for previous predictions to come true and 2) it won't matter what the US does as long as China and India keep doing what they are doing.

May as well be asking for proof that 2+2=4. We have empirical evidence that's been both vetted and agreed upon by all top climatologists and scientists for years. You simply choose to look the other way or listen to one off discreded hacks who cannot backup their claims. Don't blame the rest of the world for your ignorance.

Agreed, it took a global effort and we've all blown our chance in the name of Capitalism.

Trump is cursing more during his rallies, not that I really care about that. He called Jack Smith a “dumb son of a b****”. Told the crowd not to die of heat stroke, explicitly said he didn’t care about them but needed their vote. Said he doesn’t pay people who do a “sh***y job”. (Which means he just won’t pay you and falsely claim you did a crappy job, a post hoc argument you can use for anything.) Went on an incoherent rant about shark attacks, and claimed we should be putting drug dealers to death. Makes sense, kill the drug dealers and let the white collar criminals go free.

This guy is deranged. But, the gas was cheaper so I’ll take a show trial and swift execution if the gas prices come down a buck a gallon.

No way this lunatic wins the election, sorry, not happening. He’s not going to get more sane after his probation hearing tomorrow. Compare this to the speeches Biden gave this week and the difference couldn’t be more clear.

Presidents don't have anything to do with gas prices. why can't anyone understand that? How is a president responsible for how many people choose to try to come to our country? well maybe if they thought under Trump it was worse?
It would help if you voted for what's best for the country, not for yourself.

It’s an easy grab. Never mind the fact we could lower gas prices through congress, the prices are incredibly arbitrary, and every other fact surrounding gas and oil republicans are almost unilaterally factually incorrect on, which is why they simply resort to slogans like “drill baby drill”. Republicans have successfully dumbed down their base enough to think that more drilling = low gas prices. It’s absurd, but it works, as we can see.

"But what has Biden actually done?"

Here's what Biden has accomplished:

1. Inflation Reduction Act is generating $1.7T in US investment
2. CHIPS Act has created more than 84,000 jobs so far
3. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has already started more than 40,000 projects
4. 201 federal judges who will protect our rights and freedom
5. Bipartisan gun reform and first Office of Gun Violence Prevention
6. Forgave $150B in student debt for 4M+ borrowers

Nice seeing that some people and groups are taking seriously and preparing for the very real possibility that trump could be elected President in November.

Photo shared by a Detroit reporter of the crowd during Trump's visit to a Black church yesterday, not a joke.
