I heard they’re going to reverse direction on Siri and rename it Iris. Keep an eye out for the announcement during the keynote.

Huh?Well, that's disappointing....we're naming MacOS revisions after man-made things now.

I find it funny that they called out Mac and iPad specifically around reverting a chunk of the sidebar and toolbar behaviors. It's a welcome change though, especially since the new titlebar in macOS 26 was buggy AF in SwiftUI, trying to decide which toolbar type to use, and there was no way to set it ourselves. I just want something consistent that doesn't make my app look bad because of OS behavior bugs in SwiftUI because they keep changing stuff.
The iOS Files performance improvements are welcome too. Especially if they made accessing a NAS over SMB not suck horribly like it has since they added the feature to iOS.
I also find it funny that after MS Build, where it was a big chunk of jargonese, this is a much better sales pitch here. Here's what we did, here's what you get, and here's what you can do. It's like Microsoft fired all the people who could speak plain English to audiences.

Oh goody, Gemini models. This is the model that I've been cursing out quite a bit for hallucinating all sorts of nonsense during Google search, trying to give me answers to my searches that didn't exist, or were mash-ups of multiple different things into something that doesn't actually exist.

yep. But hopefully in a “siri” context it will be fine. When you ask it to go find an answer to a question that requires web understanding, it should suck just like gemini.
