Apple Reportedly Launching a Separate Game App Store to Fully Stick It to Epic

A new report suggests Apple’s gaming fixation is focusing on an app store separate to rival the Xbox app.

On the Mac game cast we’ve been saying how we’d like this for over a year. The Mac App Store isn’t well suited to the needs of games and while it’s gotten better, huge games have different needs to small apps from a platform perspective and trying to unify all those needs in one store platform cannot ideally accommodate it all.
I’m specifically thinking Mac. Not sure the win is as big on iOS where it seems their focus is for economically good reasons but Mac games are bigger and have stronger competitors showing what a great games platform can be like steam
