I would write it: 80% Senate approval, no limit; 67% approval: 15 year term; majority, 7 years; extension of service must be to the next approval margin (if a judge was approved 53-46, at the end of 7 years, they must get a two-thirds vote to get 8 more years, after which they must earn 80 votes to continue).
 
The process is too political. Has really always been political. At this point the Dems need to play hardball and pack the fucking court. Being timid and going "high" has costs that will linger for many, many years. Depending on the midterm results, open an investigation of the Thomases. If warranted, impeach Clarence. And if I had my wish, impeach Kavanaugh as well.
 
I guarantee he believes black Americans' struggles are 100% caused by their refusal to pull up their pants. There, I just covered his classes. Pay me.
