Anthony S. Fauci was hospitalized with West Nile virus this month, according to a spokesperson for the nation’s former top infectious-disease official.

Fauci, 83, was the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for nearly four decades before he retired in 2022. He achieved unprecedented fame while enduring withering political attacks as the face of the coronavirus pandemic response under Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

 
I'm glad to see he's recovering well at home. His lifetime of service to the country has been remarkable, especially considering what he had to go through during the Trump administration. I can't imagine what it took to restrain himself during Dear Leader's press conferences.

He had lifelong experience doing just that, but T definitely was an extreme case.
That he stuck it out, not abandoning his post in this worldwide health crisis, gives you the true measure of the man.
