I tried to find a thread that would fit this topic, but since this covers Elon Musk, gaming, and X, I decided to make a new one.
In case someone missed it, Elon Musk considers himself one of the top gamers and even apparently had one of the top characters in Diablo IV.
One or two weeks ago he had to show off his high-level character from Path of Exile 2 (PoE2), which demonstrated to a lot of people with enough knowledge of the game (I'm not one of them, I hadn't even heard of the game before) that he most certainly not the one who levelled the character in this RPG.

A short summary:
Streamer Asmongold posted a reaction video to this story and called Elon Musk out on this. Apparently, Elon Musk was following Asmongold on X.
This is where the petty part comes in...
Because Elon wasn't happy about this, he unfollowed Asmongold, posted DMs between them, and removed Asmongold's checkmark and gamer tag on X, although it was restored a while later.
Now comes the stupid part...
This is what Elon Musk wrote about Asmongold on X:
Asmon behaves like a maverick "independent", but in reality has to ask his boss for permission before he can do anything. He is not his own man.
He is referring to a DM from Asmongold:
I'm gonna see if my editors might want to make a second account for it even
Apparently, Elon thinks that Asmongold's editor is like the role at a newspaper, rather than someone who edits (i.e. cuts) the Youtube videos.

- Despite the fact that this was one of the highest level characters in the game at that point, Elon Musk had no idea about some of the basics of the interface.
- He thinks the gear of his character is bad, because the minimum level requirement is way below his character's level. In reality, it's some of the best gear available.
- It would take over 300 hours to reach that level, and that maybe one week after the launch of the game. Would have hardly had the time to game that much.
- Some proof point to the fact that gamer(s) from China boosted the character for him and collected waypoints that are safer for him to visit in a folder literally called "Elon's maps".

- pays people to play video games for him so he can look cool on livestreams (at least I hope he payed the boosters)
- gets really nasty when he he gets called out on it
- does not understand what a Youtube editor does
- basically behaves like a pre-schooler in a sandbox
