Mysterious bundle of string on Mars' surface found by Perseverance rover

NASA's newest Mars rover stumbled across a small bundle of string while exploring an ancient delta in a search for signs of ancient microscopic life.

The string could be from the rover or its descent stage, a component similar to a rocket-powered jet pack used to safely lower the rover to the planet's surface,

I'm always amazed at how much junk is circling the earth at a zillion mph and there's rarely a collision. I imagine there's a similar orbital system in MTG's skull.
