Neither a Cramer, nor a Musk fan, but this is pretty hilarious. Cramer was obviously painfully wrong in retrospect, but considering the risk, TSLA stock definitely wasn't a smart investment. When you're betting on a large scale, you're definitely bound to be wrong about stuff, but if I think about it, recommending stocks with risks similar to TSLA's would be an overall worse thing than missing out on a single big win.

It's also a good reminder how much more likable Musk was back then.

I actually don't think it matters whether he or anyone is "right" on a binary decision that far back. His reasoning matters more than his recommendation. If there's clear reasoning behind each of these decisions, you can actually talk about whether things changed or factors turned out not to be highly correlated with the outcome. Without that, it's a sound bite.
