Yes, I’m an adult baby, with way too many Lego sets in my house. But looking forward to seeing how far they take this stuff.

The smart bricks seem to react to motion, NFC, etc. and I’m guessing someone will reverse engineer the NFC tags pretty quickly. But it would be nice to be able to hack the bricks themselves.

We still have some bricks from my Mom , but they don’t stick together too well
One of the best toys ever! I have alibi to keep them all... and looking forward to try this one: the kids will be very excited too 😄

We may have a lego infestation problem in our house….

Ha! My wife is guilty of that as well. I'm guessing somewhere north of 150 completed Lego sets. I think she's in competition with the number of framed prints I've made and have hanging on the walls.

The photo below shows one of my Christmas presents to her. Another one is a new for 2026 Lego electric train that runs on batteries with a remote.

Our spare bedroom is where all our recent lego kits stay. I refused to have lego in my bedroom. Except the last Space Police I bought 30 years ago, and the small Millennium Falcon my boys got me for Christmas years ago. And the kits I bought my wife, flowers and Christmas Advent. But apart from those, none allowed in my bedroom.

Speaking of Legos... On New Years day we went to the local mall to eat and to go to the Lego store. As we approached the store we came across a huge line of people waiting to get in, and a store full of people. I'm guessing there were more than 100 people.

Outside the store was an employee that was letting people in as people inside the store left. I asked him what was going on. He said on New Years day all of the past Lego products were replaced with new 2026 products. And dedicated Lego customers wanted to be the first to purchase them.

Needless to say we weren't into waiting in line so we decided to go back some other time.
