My default is to assume this will fail, but who knows. It sounds like it might be some sort of accessory for other devices. Maybe not.

I think Ive did some great things but I don’t see any reason to believe he will succeed constantly. I feel Apple has better design in certain key ways since he left. Time will tell, but I wouldn’t bet on this being great. It sounds like the Humane AI pin unless I’m missing something.

I dunno, this is a pretty good collection of visual atrocities Ive has under his belt for a good chunk of his career. Even given the different times narrative I don't ever remember feeling stunned by most of those. Clearly he had some massive shift at one point that gave us the Apple aesthetic that largely still exists today, but even given his peak years at Apple it wasn't like their was some seismic design breakthroughs beyond the obsession with thickness and weight and charging cables and methods. Perhaps my issue is more with the media and tech industry heaping way too much praise on "elegant simplicity" for years.
