in the day of cheap lasers, ink jet printers are a real waste of time. the ink dries up (last ink jet I owned I basically got 3 prints between new ink and cartridges becoming useless next time I needed it), you have customer hostile ink like this, etc.
never mind this capacity BS, vendors are putting logic into the cartridge to stop working after X prints never mind if it has capacity left, block refills, third party ink, etc.
consumer watchdogs really need to take a hard look at the printer industry in general tbh. pretty much every player is extremely customer hostile at this point.
