Yeah there's a huge push to stop this but not sure how successful it will be, feels like the writing is on the wall.
The biggest issue is that there is no real capable alternatives out there that are not manufactured by the Chinese. This also crosses both aisles politically because law enforcement wants the capabilities that DJI offers, especially for search and rescue, and the others aren't even close to having the same tech. Talk to any police officer in the field and they are not happy about this.
The other consideration is how do they stop the millions of them already in existence in the United States short of bricking them, which would be a pretty big undertaking with the cooperation of DJI in order to do. I would personally stop because I have a lot to lose but I can assure you 99% of these people are still going to fly them.
