I don't know that I've ever been more insulted. It's like recommending frozen fish sticks because you enjoyed bluefin tuna. I don't care about Ted's politics and he may be a good showman but he's always been a crappy guitar player. Growing up with musicians we always made fun of it as pretty much the worst playing ever.

LOL. Not even progressive rock recommendations? Apple Music has better recommendations than that. Geddy Lee, Yes, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Envy of None, Pink Floyd, The Police, Genesis, YYNOT, and Boston.

Achy Breaky Heart or Keep Your Hands to Yourself would be a much better fit for Ted Nugent.

He only became popular with teenage boys in the late 70's because he had the songs "Cat Scratch Fever" and "Wang Dang Sweet *******".

And Stranglehold, all okay radio songs so I get it. I only take issue with the comparison to Rush. I used to teach guitar and I could show a beginning student Cat Scratch Fever and they would have it down by the end of the lesson. If you wanted to teach them something like Spirit of the Radio it would take years of study and practice to even get close to playing it proficiently.

Even Rush said they couldn't get through it in a single take :ROFLMAO: I can get through most of it but have to re-learn it every couple of years or I forget all the changes. Rush songs are project songs, get you a cup of coffee and commit to several hour practice sessions, I've got nothing but respect for bands that cover them.

On a related note, it's interesting how many classic songs streaming services will throw into a playlist now when the respective fans probably would have turned to fisticuffs if they met on the streets at the peak of their popularity. Chaka Kahn followed by The Clash followed by Billy Joel. Sure, why not I guess.
