Steam Deck and Playdate delays

In the last day I received emails that both of my orders for these handheld game devices have been delayed. Boo chip shortage. (Playdate also had a battery problem and had to replace all the batteries in their first batch of 5000 devices).

I’m interested in seeing how both of those consoles do. I’d love to have one or both of them, but the truth is, I just don’t game much anymore. I’d love to, but I just don’t have – or make – the time.

I’ll give one or both to my kid, depending on whether I find I enjoy one or the other.

Did they provide any sort of time frame when you can now expect them to be delivered?

I believe they pushed its shipping date to February.

Both are now early (or first half) 2022 for me based on where I am in line.

I think I’ll prefer the steam deck for playing, but I am interested in coding for the play date.
