He's 100% correct here. I personally don't give the RRHOF much credit anyway because there is no rhyme or reason to their decisions but it would be good for them to change their guidelines on this, maybe make the requirement 10 years from the first commercial release instead of 25.

RRHOF is utter nonsense, and has been for as long as I can remember.

What did it for me...

The first Beastie Boys album was released in 1986, inducted in 2012.

The first Rush album was released in 1974, inducted in 2013.

A total joke. I know Rush was excited about it and I'm glad it happened before Neil died but this is NOT a serious institution, just a handful of people who do not represent the country as a whole.

As for the Beastie Boys, WT actual F? Not to take away from them as a group but they were nowhere near the caliber of a band like Rush, or so many others they passed up.

I remember a few years ago when Lionel Richie was inducted. My first thought was "why in the hell was this guy not in it 20+ years ago?".

I have been there and looking at all the memorabilia was cool, but how they induct is a complete joke.

Rush: 24 gold and 14 platinum records. Fifth behind the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kiss and Aerosmith for most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band in the United States.

Inducted in 2013. Took 45 years.
