The Onion: Why were you rejected from the United States Naval Academy?

Cawthorn: I forgot the word for “boat” during my interview and repeatedly referred to them as water-trucks.

I went looking for any clue of him being popular and couldn't really find anything. Admittedly I didn't dig deep but you shouldn't have to. All links point to the Republican party actively working to crush him. So I guess he's a bit of an odd duck, not the right type of loon. It's like being in a room with everybody sharing off color jokes and then he takes it waaaaaay too far and the room instantly falls silent.
