This episode of Sesame Street was banned from television for many decades, but just last month, it was leaked online and became viewable by the general public. It was originally banned after Sesame Workshop received dozens of letters from angry parents who complained that the witch had scared their children. After running an inconclusive test screening of the episode to see if they should ever air it again, Sesame Workshop ultimately decided against doing so.
