I can't believe that snakehandling churches are still a thing in this day and age, considering all the people who have, you know, died.

At the very least, you'd think they'd keep some antivenin handy for those moments when someone has a lapse in faith, aka they get bit by the snake they're scaring the shit out of.

I can't say I feel bad for them exactly, since I'm not the biggest fan of snakes, but they are innocent in all this.

They're snakes. They get frightened when you shake them around. They strike when they're frightened. It's as simple as that.
