There’s a lot to unpack here, but is anyone surprised? It’s a c-list Fox News cabinet of unqualified people.

The report says Trump will make a decision on whether to fire Waltz “as he watches coverage of the embarrassing episode.

From an unnamed source;
A person close to the White House was even more blunt: “Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a fucking idiot.”

Imagine being on that team and being considered the idiot. Oof…

Also, JD Vance now has leaked texts undermining the president. Oof.

It’s an oof kind of cabinet.

For someone who has promised not to drink it sounds like he did indeed drink, there's no other excuse.

even though this breaks national security and is very illegal nothing will happen.
How many drunks claim they won't drink??

I'm sure they'll get right on that.

Pete Hegseth is on the record blasting using unauthorized messenger apps for privileged communication, precisely because of the risks.

It wasn’t just Waltz, they were all in on this. Probably doing it to stay under the radar. Which I don’t understand, it’s not like anything will happen to them if they break the law.

I really thought all the republicans falling in line to nominate the drunk weekend Fox News guy was going to result in security and safety. I hate being proven wrong, but here we are.

They’re all at fault, but this is probably criminal. Like, on its face, not a Hillary email or Trump collusion type of “was there a law broken” type of deal.. like a “here are the texts and here’s the simp app they used to send them” illegal. I mean, it is what it is. These are supposed to be kept as well, these are official communications. But Kushner and Ivanka did the same things, albeit probably with less serious intel.

They also tried to throw the low guy under the bus, but it was Hegseth divulging the most info. Sorry Pete, no amount of semantics or word salad changes it. Then again, we are dealing with a president who got away with literally stealing and hiding documents from the feds, and now has the full authority to do it again, this time fully within the arm of the law. Just take everything and say “this is all declassified” and it is. They don’t care about ethics or morals or standards. They only care if it’s legal. And if it’s not legal, they only care about applying public pressure to retroactively fit the law to their actions.

So at the end of the day, expect more and worse, and expect nothing to be done about it.

Watching the guy defend it today was absolutely embarrassing and showed just what you would expect from a pundit with zero experience for the position he is in, he came off like a confused and clueless lunatic. This country is being run by a bunch of circus clowns.

Private contact details of the most important security advisers to U.S. President Donald Trump can be found on the internet. DER SPIEGEL reporters were able to find mobile phone numbers, email addresses and even some passwords belonging to the top officials.
To do so, the reporters used commercial people search engines along with hacked customer data that has been published on the web. Those affected by the leaks include National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

Most of these numbers and email addresses are apparently still in use, with some of them linked to profiles on social media platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn. They were used to create Dropbox accounts and profiles in apps that track running data. There are also WhatsApp profiles for the respective phone numbers and even Signal accounts in some cases.

I've been an Atlantic subscriber since mid last year wanting more/better upcoming 2024 pre/post election analysis. Jeffrey Goldberg's recent reporting about the phone conference call makes renewing my subscription when it's time a slam dunk.

These dimwits are trashing him (Goldberg)… if he’s that bad, why were you texting him war plans? Oh, I’m sorry - non-classified and totally fine to share with the world information. I guess that’s what Hegseth is calling it.

Trump’s other cabinet officials who were grilled are also inept, but also came across as such more than usual because they can’t lie but also can’t tell the truth. They had to deflect and obfuscate.

If they could just tell the truth and say “Donald Trump is an inept idiot and this has to end”, everything would start getting better. The contorting and twisting to do anything but state the obvious is going to be the running theme of this satirical “administration”. Call this shit-show whatever you want, but a presidency it is not.

If they could just tell the truth and say “Donald Trump is an inept idiot and this has to end”

Trump picked his cabinet because they know and he knows they are nothing without him and wouldn't be where they are without him.

And somehow all these people saw the pile of former Trump loyalists who later had their career and life ruined and went "I need to get a piece of that."

Let’s face it, the cabinet is functioning as well as I imagined it would based on the picks.

Maybe someone has explained it to him by now, but Trump originally thought there was an issue with an actual signal, like a radio transmission or something.

You have to chuckle at the Hillary emails crowd using App Store apps for top military communications. You either slam this behavior or the cult is clouding your brain, and that’s just all there is to it.
