Apple rumor re: AI server chips

Apple’s new AI server chips are reportedly coming this year - 9to5Mac

Per Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple appears set to start mass-producing its new in-house AI server chips as soon as this year.

Not much new in this rumor other than some claims about time frame.

i wonder if we’ll ever know. In the old days, we used to publish some very detailed stuff about our CPUs in JSSC and other publications. I get while Apple doesn’t do that - they aren’t selling their CPUs, and the less competitors know the better. But for these server CPUs some of the reasons not to publish aren’t there - if someone else wants to come along and copy them and perhaps even do better than Apple can, that’s probably fine with Apple.
