Other iPhones including Pro and Pro Max received a price cut awhile ago by about $50. They had another sale for holidays for base and e models. It seems all sales including the one you're referencing are limited time.
It was widely reported. My post was a response to the constant and poorly written clickbait from blogs. Everything I've said can be verified by this and Apple's statements for revenue.
I've continually cited stuff throughout my comments here in general. I don't think people appreciate the time I spend doing so as much as you're suggesting they do, with respect.
