Aside from reversing course on climate change, eliminating public health at the federal level, damaging our reputation around the world, sharply cutting back on research, and much more, what scares me the most is the mid-term election. Trump and his sycophantic allies will do everything they can, legal and illegal, to prevent Republican losses later this year. If they're successful, we may not have a 2028 election, at least not a democratic one.

The latest is trump saying he'll use, if necessary, an executive order to mandate voter ID in the midterms. Whether that flies is another matter.

It's hard to imagine how even MAGA can continue to support such a person who is so anti-democracy. He legitimately lost in 2020 and legitimately won in 2024, neither of these races were contested by normal sane people, he is the most bitter loser (and winner) in history. Can't wait until this world is rid of him.

Whether or not you like the idea of Voter ID, it polls very well. Like in the 80’s.

This includes 82% of Hispanics, 76% of Blacks and 71% of Democrats.
