Help with Messages. App keeps creating windows of individual chats.

App keeps creating windows of individual chats and I can't figure out how to disable it. It's a relatively new behavior but it's making texting difficult.

On what device? Mac?
 
It could be your mouse/pointing device reporting a double-click rather than a single click, opening another window. You could try making it slower in settings to see if that helps, but it could also be the device reporting a double-click to MacOS. Sticky buttons or a low battery could cause some anomalies.

Ipad. No buttons. Also almost always on the charger.
 
Switch to decaf? ;) :D

Edit: :) Heh - but, seriously. Are you running the beta? And, just to make sure it's not the connection between the device in the chair - if you have someone else use the iPad, can they replicate the issue? If so, I'd be tempted to file a bug report.

As it is new behaviour, it could be an issue with that build of the OS.

Unfortunately, I don't have an iPad, so can't delve into where there could be settings to tweak.

What, you expect me to allow someone else to use my baby?!

No beta. Now I'm wondering if it was a known issue, cause it hasn't happened in the last few days since the most recent update.
