First, it was 54 degrees. That’s considered a winter hellscape in the Bay Area of CA.

Then it later dawned on me that for most of human history people gathered around fires specifically to keep warm and survive in cold weather, not just to have a forced meditative commune with nature in fairly comfortable weather.
