Anybody know of any free software that can transfer music from my iPod Classic to my MBP?

At the moment I have to fire up my ancient Vista laptop and use ancient software!

Also, anybody know how to find out what songs are not in playlists?

Thanks for the suggestion, however it doesn't work. The trial has 50 songs limit but it wouldn't even copy a playlist of 27!

Not sure if this affects the imazing software, but you do need to disable any sync with iTunes for some methods. Here’s some instructions… granted i don’t know which version of MacOS you are running, so these may not work:

It's on Mojave.

Floola works! it's everything I needed. You have to enter the serial number of the iPod the 1st time but it's copying great so far.

My trance playlist is 2200 songs long, that'll be the true test lol.

Yup! Currently more into psy-trance at the minute.

That 2200 playlist only took 15-20 mins to copy which was fairly impressive. Nearly 30GB.
