You wouldn’t believe the number of students I had both in high school and even middle school (!) who already had sex offender status because of sharing nude selfies.

Really? I had no idea. I figured minor to minor was just ignored.

Here's a genuine question I've had for years and don't really have a good answer for. Let's say you've been married 10 years. Then your wife finds an old nude photo of her from when she was 15. First, are you in possession of child pornography? And second, are you a sick perv for looking? It seems like it wouldn't be weird to see her nude in the tub at 5 or 25, but 15?

Fortunately, this is 100% hypothetical and not a real situation I've found myself in. Back when I was that age, we didn't have today's technology. Sexing meant taking the pictures, having the film developed, sticking the photos in a properly addressed envelope, getting the correct postage, sticking it in the US Mail, then waiting a couple days for them to arrive. By then the mood had usually passed. But this is a situation that's going to come up as today's rowdy teens grow up and get married and have their whole lives captured on their cell phones.

And they definitely don’t think that the boyfriend or girlfriend they send that photo to today may not be the love of their life tomorrow. Or that by sharing it they are guilty of child pornography because....they are children!

Laws like this are dumb AF. I can see a set of fat middle aged white dudes coming up with laws like this...
