Yeah there were lots of invites, Sceptical left on her own and asked to have her status changed to cancelled. Everyone has their reasons.
 
I Googled for alternative sites after receiving a suspension, and that led me here.

After 20 years on that site, this forum has a breath of fresh air. Intelligent, in-depth conversations — many of them going over my head — about tech, with decent users helping one another. Thanks to Eric and the rest of you for making it a very nice and educational place.

Spot on... At the other site it's always a race to the bottom with perpetually unhappy people slagging on Apple and Cook. Evert single day. Apparently that's what it takes to establish forum cred there.

I agree, and I’m genuinely grateful for this place. Conversations have gotten a bit testy at times, but people here tend to respect one another.

I feel the same about the tech discussions, which are often way above my level, though I try to follow them and learn.
