Where I live, these ALPR devices have popped up everywhere. These devices, by Flock, are sold on the premise they help solve crimes but there are privacy concerns where it is conceivable that your every going is tracked and surveilled for any and all future purpose.

Has your community been impacted by these?

I see them in a lot of middle/upper class neighborhoods strategically place at entry points and often crowd funded by neighbors. My personal take on it is it's out there for public eyes anyway so I don't worry about it much.

Even the most petty of thieves who burglarize homes use stolen cars or plates anyway so I'm not sure how much good they really do.
