They’ve been at this for years, hype train and whatnot. Unless they’re designing their own silicon, IMHO it’s rather vacuous. If they are actually far along in designing and producing an asic, that could be really interesting.

we don’t know. There have been a few examples that have failed spectacularly. Handheld or worn widgets that constantly listen and/or watch their surroundings and offer information either on their own or upon request.

Sometimes, like apparently today, they automatically join forums such as this and post seemingly-excited responses to random threads.

In the end, all these things end up getting subsumed into the smartphone, to the extent they can even do anything useful and desirable.

I'm keeping an open mind on this one. Neither Ive or Altman are lightweights. And, as an aside, I'm not surprised with the antics going on at the other place regarding this story.
