I remember when they built that bridge. They had both ends completed, and the center span was put together down south (like Albany or something), floated upriver and raised into place from above with screw jacks. My aunt had just come back to the US from some time in Lebanon, saw the ramp ends without the center span and said, "Oh my god, what happened to that bridge??"
