This little guy (a juvenile sedge warbler) popped up in my Twitter feed not long ago and landed on my XR lockscreen in mid-August.
The bird was photographed in the UK by Paul Morton, and by about now is off on its very first migration to sub-Saharan Africa, where all European and Asian sedge warblers spend their winters. The adult bird weighs less than half an ounce, so it's not surprising the juvenile doesn't even bend the grassy part of the stalk on which he has perched.
