Yeah, the fact that one of their vendors stopped using such a premium SSD is striking and does hurt their brand. But Samsung will get through this, just as they got throught their last big QC debacle (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2016/09/12/why-those-samsung-batteries-exploded/).

Interesting. From owning a Sabrent 5-bay disk docking station (which I like a lot), I knew the company also sold PCIe NVME SSDs. But I wasn't aware they were so highly regarded.
