While I've always been a big fan of Reddit, this is disappointing. Their CEO is a lot like Arn over at MR in that they really don't care so long as it doesn't impact their bottom line. Trusting people to do the right thing is why we have Delta running rampant, owners of sites this large have a responsibility but if nothing else, we get to see who they truly are.

"While we appreciate the sentiment of those demanding that we ban more communities that challenge consensus views on the pandemic, we continue to believe in the good of our communities and hope that we collectively approach the challenges of the pandemic with empathy, compassion, and a willingness to understand what others are going through, even when their viewpoint on the pandemic is different from yours," wrote the company's CEO Huffman in Reddit's r/announcements subreddit.

But apparently little empathy for peple dying of the disease. F off, Steve Huffman. Allowing disinformation to spread on your platform leads directly to people painfully and slowly dying of suffocation.

Yeah this is disappointing. This isn't harmless misinformation. The stuff that's being spread about the vaccine is actually resulting in people dying. This should in no way be tolerated.

The genie has already been out of the bottle too long. Nobody is going on the internet today and going “holy shit, covid is a democrat scam!” for the first time ever. Everybody knows all the disinformation is coming from one side and pointing to the same ignorant conclusions. No amount of attempting to scrape the internet of disinformation is going to change anything, and certainly not while the right-wing major news media is getting a pass on it. Everything is protected under “It’s my opinion….” At this point get vaccinated, mask up, and avoid large gatherings. Let these idiots kill themselves off.
