Who needs the CDC and all these "doctors" and "scientists" anyway. Just pick a date and go. Set your calendar, folks!

Sure he will. Why is he waiting???? Wait, I guess the research will be done then ???? just more dumbass lies that will hurt others. Swimming with poo needs to flush himself.

They need to ensure their script has been thoroughly vetted by the lawyers....because...you KNOW they'll ban vaccines....THEY'RE the cause!!! :D

Edit: When Covid came out....a lot of us on the left (at least up here) were hoping (praying) that it proved to be the miracle virus to take out the rednecks on the right. Because it tended to impact those with poor health more severely. The people lining up at Denny's, IHOP and any buffet style restaurant.

Maybe if the GOP just makes vaccines illegal in the red states, they could give Darwin a hand? :) Every Trump rally turns into a super-spreader event? :D

“These are kids who will never pay taxes, they’ll never hold a job, they’ll never play baseball, they’ll never write a poem, they’ll never go out on a date. Many of them will never use a toilet unassisted,” Kennedy said. “Autism destroys families.”

Funny thing is, my Nephew is autistic, and I am going to an Eagle Scout ceremony for him on Sept. 6th, and he has started Community College. I wonder if his report will explain that.

Many of us that work in Technology are on the spectrum. One of my ex girlfriends is a special ed teacher. She drew all of these parallels between me and Sheldon on Big Bang Theory. I just thought she was joking.....then, when I was doing Keto, someone posted a list of characteristics of people with Autism to one of our group chats (Ketogenicforums.com) - I think I had at least 80% of the traits?

I wrote her back on Facebook "You weren't kidding were you?" - "Oh, no, you're very much on the spectrum".

Knowing this helped explain why it was so hard for me as a kid...why I had so many behavioural / communications issues. It's also helped me to identify people that are on the spectrum better at work - and ensure that I work with them in a way that helps them to be successful.

Just scheduled my covid vaccine for 2 weeks from now, via CVS, because screw this brain-worm-riddled idiot. (“physically inactive” counts as a “risk factor,” so the way I see it, I’m eligible.). Also getting a flu shot. I’m overdue for 2nd shingles and pneumonia, but those things killed me last time and I’m still waiting for my neurologist appointment (a few days before my scheduled vaccines) to confirm I don’t have CIDP or something.

I have an underlying condition so I'll get it but my wife is worried she will not be able to get hers, those who still want it should have the option go get it, even if we pay for it on our own. The fact that this crackpot who is running our healthcare systems is really in charge is fucking infuriating. I hope they're all on the same plane when it goes down.

Speaking of shingles... I'm considering getting a Shingrix vaccination at Costco.

Any thoughts or opinions about getting vaccinations at Costco?

right now you can schedule on the CVS app and they just ask “do you have a condition?” and if you check “yes” they let you schedule it. (in california, at least) They claim to have the 2025/26 vaccine, starting in a few days. May want to go ahead and schedule her if she’s due soon.

No idea if my insurance will pay for it or not, but $150 or whatever is worth it to me not to get bad covid. And if insurance won’t pay for it, i will raise bloody hell with my employer and make myself such a nuisance that my boss will volunteer to pay for it out of his pocket anyway.

It's a real sucky vaccination, the worst one.
No argument from me, but it is much, much better than Shingles...

Also, I just did this a few months ago, together with updating my Covid & Flu shots at the same time - and no, I am not a masochist.
But I take a 500mg Naproxen Tablet before going to the Pharmacy (after having fevers & chills from my first Covid shot) and have had no systemic symptoms since starting to do that. (If you take another NSAID, adjust the dose to the higher recommended level, e.g. 1600mg for Ibuprofen etc).
Even the arm soreness is way down.
And it has no effect on the immunization.

Shingrix: I laugh at you! :ROFLMAO:

In MA I can get to the next step, but they don't have any available in the area, and I cannot seem to schedule it in the future.

I got three at once, then I hopped on the tandem with the wife and rushed to her vaccination appointment. it wiped me out it was so bad.

Wow! Three?! A lot of people get the Covid and Flu vaccines at the same time...but 3?! Yep - that's pushing it a bit. :)

Following the FDA's dreadful decision about Covid vaccines, whether an individual not in the approved groups will be able to get one is open to question in the U.S. Pharmacies and similar businesses may refuse to administer them, in some cases because of state regulations. Physicians will still be able to prescribe and give vaccines off-label, though again, that's not guaranteed. As well, it's unclear whether insurance companies will pay for off-label use, since they typically use any excuse not to provide coverage. To add to the confusion, the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will meet in a few weeks, and it's now headed by a vaccine skeptic. It doesn't help that the CDC's leadership and ranks have been decimated.

This could have been avoided if Senator Bill Cassidy, who is a physician, had not voted to confirm Mr. Brain Worm as HHS Secretary. If he hadn't, it's likely other Republican senators would have followed his lead. But now here we are.

I once got five vaccines at one visit prior to a trip abroad. As I recall, it wasn't horrible, though I wouldn't recommend it. Of all the vaccines I've ever received, I had the worst reaction to Shingrix. I was sure I had Covid – this was before the Covid vaccines were released – I was sick for three days. But I have no regrets.
