Whenever new Macs came out, you could count on BareFeats to test them for real-world performance. They also posted tons of tests of various graphics cards.

“Rob ART” will definitely be missed.

Oh wow, we used to have links to his site back in the early days of my previous company (mid-late 90s), on our "handy resources" page.

Here's a little clip from the oldest page archived on the Wayback Machine, pretty fun :)

RIP Rob ART

Oh wow, we used to have links to his site back in the early days of my previous company (mid-late 90s), on our "handy resources" page.

Here's a little clip from the oldest page archived on the Wayback Machine, pretty fun :)

That clip takes me back. I entered college around that time, and coverage from places like BareFeats encouraged me to buy a used G4 card as a way to keep my PowerMac 8600 going (and dual booting OS X with XPostFacto) until I got out of college, got a job and bought an iMac G5. And the page was one I still visited every so often to see what was going on from time to time.

I will miss the simple, yet illustrative work he was doing.
