Sept 2025 Apple iPhone Event

I did finally get my 17PM a few days ago, it's glorious. Loving the Cosmic Orange

Waiting for mine still...

When I first read your post, I thought. "When did we start mixing standard time noting with military time, or is this some sort of Simpsons extra month thing?"

Hahaha, we say "Lousy Smarch Weather" all the time :D

Hahaha, yes, 0.0008ZM in the evening ...

I know it's only a 2 generation jump - and I try to not get biased by a new device - but wow, this 17PM seems so much snappier than my 15PM (wasn't a fresh setup, full transfer of existing apps/configs/etc).

Curious... how are you liking iOS 26 and its user interface?

I'm still on 18.7.1, and at the moment, reluctant to upgrade knowing I can't go back if I don't like it. Of course sometime in the near future I'll probably be forced to.

I posted in the iOS26 thread, I really dig on it. But I like a nice changeup every once-in-a-while, I embrace it, even the quirky little details. Some of the major UX changes are very cool, reduction in visual clutter in main apps like camera for example. The new apps, improved features, across the entire range of product OSs are pretty fantastic.

Seeing it on the best hardware available I'm sure makes a difference, though I did have it installed on my 15PM for a week or two.

FWIW, I tend to lean into the positive :)

I don’t get the hate for iOS 26, I’m fine with it.

It’s 2025. The internet demands you pick a hill to die on. You must:
  • Craft an absolute, unyielding opinion
  • Spend hours justifying it in excruciating detail
  • Refresh every 30 seconds to catch anyone daring to disagree
  • Prepare for marathon bickering sessions where your subjective take must somehow be objectively correct
:ROFLMAO:

Yeah, not a fan of the glass but it's not really a deal breaker at all. All of the other updates are really nice.
