We take a ton of photos, so for us, it's nice having a little more recent camera technology. The camera(s) improvements from my X to my 13 Pro Max are substantial.

Yeah, I get it if you have an interest in a new feature and it seems like the camera updates are always the biggest changes. If they brought back TouchID on the Max models (somehow) I would jump on it.

The only reason I upgrade is for the camera. But I’d rather shell out $1200 every other year to buy outright than some kind of lease program.

This whole subscription thing is getting crazy. Buy a car, but subscribe to get your seats heated. WTF?!

I have every text message I have ever gotten on my phone except for the 6-8 months I had an Android. I do go back through them looking for something on occasion.

There's several ways to port over your text messages (mostly by way of 3rd party apps). FWIW, I use Google Photos anyway, figured it was another backup and they have a really solid webUI for managing, etc.
