It's typical for the people to hold the party in power to account, I've only been watching the major networks the last few days but it's not a good look for McCarthy right now. He is also getting some Democratic support but it won't be even close enough to make a difference.TBH I do think he's between a rock and a hard place, still not sure why he wanted the job so badly as those holding it hostage tried to warn him. It sounds like Matt Gaetz is trying to drum up support to have him removed, even reaching out to Democrats but I don't think they'll bite. Outside of a political vendetta they would have to offer a viable alternative to replace him and there's been no mention of that.
