The Winter Olympics

I feel like any 4 of us could get together and make our own curling team and compete in the olympics. Even with COPD I can sweep and pitch or whatever that initial throw is.

I’ve never quite understood how it works, but curling has always struck me as something that’s considerably harder than it looks.

Seems like something you could just play over a couple of beers with your pals. Maybe they should make darts an Olympic sport too.

They do. A college roommate who lives in Chicago goes to a curling bar. He’s on a team with shirts and everything. Works just like a darts or bowling league. Just colder.

I would be fine with darts, but they need to get golf and tennis out of the Olympics.

Apparently they added flag football to the summer olympics? Might as well add beer pong.

I don’t usually watch curling but I do during the Olympic Games: it’s fascinating and it seems sooo easy and calm.. but after Sweden against Canada I changed my mind about the calm part

And I have seen the video several times and can’t tell if he touched it past the Hog or not.

USA women vs Canada was a good match. But I swear they all yell like Frau Farbisa from Austin Powers.

And the epic look in their faces as they launch the stone is like "this is the most important shot of my life". I'm telling you guys, with a couple of days practice while throwing back some pints and we could have our on TechBoards team, I'm already good at yelling at everyone so that's one advantage we already have.
