Toshiba has fallen so far from grace. They used to be one of the largest manufacturers of electronics in the world, but nowadays, they really only manufacture hard drives and such. Just a few years ago, they used to sell all kinds of stuff (personal computers, televisions, etc). One of their big losses came in the form of the HD DVD format, which I've already discussed at length in a thread of its own.
