I made my first video game ever. It's a simple shooting gallery. There's about 2 minutes worth of fun there to be had. It's not much, but it's my first real game. I even had someone donate a dollar!
Some quick background. I'm doing a "how to make games in VR" type of online course. I bought it last year, but the content wasn't ready yet, so I put it off till about a month ago and then jumped back in. In my course, we're building a County Fair. We built a ring toss game, a balloon pop game, a strongman game. A few weeks ago, I got some awesome assets in a Humble Bundle. So I decided I'd take those assets and build my own carnival game, the shooting gallery. I completed that basic version in just 7 days and added it to my County Fair game. Since then I've removed it from the lame fair scene, stuck it in its own setting and did a bunch of tweaks to the original version.
If you have VR and would like to give it a go, you can find it here: https://mejharrison.itch.io/trading-post-shooting-gallery
If you're curious as to how it was all made, I've created a stripped down version with free assets that you can pay with or use to build your own shooting gallery. Here's that link: https://github.com/MEJHarrison/ShootingGallery
