Ever notice how the EU never has a problem with anything Spotify does, but gets pissed when Apple offers users a method to disagree to trackers?

The U.S. now threatening to retaliate against laws clearly designed to disadvantage American tech companies
 
To be fair, Spotify was previously fined in Europe for violating the data privacy laws. I have no love for some of EU's regulations, at the same time the practices of companies such as Amazon and Google are deeply questionable. Like, using all my personal emails for training without consent, really?

Google nev r actually did that and there is no evidence they were going to.
 
Yeah, it’s wild how selective these things can get. Feels like the EU picks and chooses what to enforce, and now the U.S. is stepping in to protect its big tech—it’s messy.
