What are you doing today?

Going to a drone expo in Las Vegas next week, never been. Also got approval to fly so I'll be filming the Sphere and some of the strip down around the Bellagio, between waivers and the LAANC requests it's taken weeks to get it all in order but I'm good to go. Also looking forward to the road trip which is about a 9 hour drive each way.

I'll be taking the gas powered X5 for this one, aint nobody got time to spend literally half of the trip locating stations, waiting in lines, and charging, that was a hard lesson from my LA trip.

I imagine it's a lost worse in CA where EV are more prevalent. Is there a study that shows the % of the population per state that has adopted EVs? I recently went on a road trip between MA and ME and didn't experience that issue at all.

Oh, and I cannot wait to see more vids on instagram!

Right, LA is really bad. The other thing is the time you have to spend there which is pretty long because of long distances you have to drive on a road trip. You really have to plan for the additional time which really cuts into the vacation, especially on a trip only lasting a couple of days.

Hoping for decent shots, I'll also be documenting the experience for my YT channel.

I would suggest a different lesson: PHEV.

I called law enforcement to let them know I have all my documentation and will be flying but they don't whitelist there, they said just to have it handy and they'll likely just roll up on me while I'm out there flying. So I'll have my action cameras rolling as well to document the entire experience, should make for good Youtube material.

Normally, cops know the least about drone rules (I have often to explain it to them here in the Bay Area) but I've heard they are well versed in Vegas and know all the documentation you're supposed to have.

Good luck ! Did you get your new one?

HHN34 started last week! As some might remember, we're nuts for Universal, HHN (horror films in general), got the Frequent Fear + Express, so we've got 2 more trips already planned, reservations, etc.

This was the opening weekend, did 3 nights, got a fantastic room at Portofino Bay (that got upgraded to a bay view with a balcony). Houses are fantastic, some surprises (loved some we didn't expect to like as much), zones are great, fountain show is back!

Even had great weather, dodged all the rain - Saturday we crushed IOA, hit everything, nothing over 15 minute wait time :)

Okay, I have to ask, what watch band is that? I am intrigued

Hahaha, no problem, in fact, you're the 3rd person who's asked :D

It's a super inexpensive product from Amazon:

I have the black nylon and the leather (probably "leather" :ROFLMAO: ) The neat thing is they use super wide lugs, so you get this cuff sort of look, even though it's not like a traditional cuff where the watch sits on another strap with a hole in it. In the photo the leather looks more orange, but it's a great color IRL, neat patina after some wear.

Oh, and across the 4 days, which was about 1/2 a day Fri and Monday we did this much walking :D

~ 37 miles.

B O O M ! ! !

I have not worn a wristwatch in about half a century, but when I was 11 or so, I had a beautiful tooled leather watchband that was about 3" wide. And I was a very small person at the time (probably about 4'5" and 50 or 60lbs).

Finally used the chipper/shredder I got my wife for her last birthday. It made cleanup a breeze, and we got fresh mulch. Took far less time than ever before.

At first glance, it sounded like an odd gift, but then it occurred to me, it says "I will be ever so good to you …"
It comes from a tv show based on a horror movie. The greater the risk of the person you run into it, the greater the monetary reward you get. Throw in a bum, you get coins, throw in a doctor, you get big bills…. I will always be good to my wife…

Train service finally reestablished between Mobile and New Orleans, so currently on board heading to Biloxi. How many casinos can we visit before it's time to catch the return....
