What are you doing today?

We have an insane concert schedule this month, just got back from NIN in Tampa, then Laufey in Orlando Monday, and then, the Sing Out Loud festival here in SA (with some terrific acts like Hozier and Bea).

NIN was amazing. As I mentioned in the BMW thread (of all places :D ), the seats were incredible , Marriott stay (with upgrades for a great view) was so good and the dinner last night at Lona was fantastic.

This was logistics for the show ...

Head like a Hole, ummm, the lyric, "You're going to get what you deserve" seemed ... timely.

I am attempting to get credentials to cover CES 2026 based solely on my Instagram (creator) account, writing up an assignment letter for myself with the help of ChatGPT. I don't think I'll get it but there's no harm in trying. 🤷‍♂️

My second career is fraught with paperwork asking for permission to attend and shoot events legally.

Good luck. I always wanted to attend CES, but while teaching, it was a bad time to take off, even though I would never have had to pay. At one point my son had to go to CES every year for work and he hated it.

Love attending but I would probably hate working one of these things, too. One thing about being a little older is you have to consider all the walking that is necessary, several miles per day typically and they're always a great reminder of how out of shape I am. :ROFLMAO:

Yes... I've done both working for a seven person ASIC design company specializing in communications signal processing chips. They're both tiring and sometimes tedious. The payoff is when you snag a major customer (Ericsson, Nokia, and Lucent). My best experience was getting Lucent's (which spun off from AT&T) interest, which later resulted in giving them a presentation in what used to be Bell Labs (so much history there walking its halls) in New Jersey. And ultimately lead to designing a multi-channel communications chip for use in their cellular basestations.

And formally denied but it wasn't for a lack of effort.

Just back from Orlando seeing Layfey (with Suki Waterhouse as an opener), just spectacular. Introduced to her by the daughter and became huge fans. Nice VIP seats with our own bathrooms and bar, just a few blocks away right up near Lake Eola (which is where we will likely be residing in about 6 months). Will post some pics in a few :)

Do I follow you back? If not, let me know who you are and I’ll throw you a follow.
I actually have two, and I didn't actually follow you on the personal one (I don't use that one as often). To be fair, you probably don't follow because they are small potatoes on any influencer radar. :ROFLMAO:

I'll send you a DM.

Right, some days I get up to 1000 followers so there’s no way I can keep track. For those who are friends though I’m happy to throw a follow back. 👍

Got interviewed by a content creator, nothing too exciting if you're not into drones but she's local and instrumental in the field so I agreed to do it.

Wow, got to say you are way too humble. That was interesting, well at least for me.

Thanks, interesting take because after watching it felt like I was a bit arrogant. Good to see your view of it. :ROFLMAO:

No! When you are passionate about something and have expertise in the subject matter, I would call it fervent.

Eric, that was a fascinating article. Thanks for linking it. You are indeed too modest and definitely did not come across in any way as "arrogant." Someone paid you a very nice compliment in the comments:

That was spectacular. He’s like the Michelangelo of drone photography.

Pat yourself on the back and get out there and do more fabulous drone photography celebrating San Francisco!

Amazing interview ! Congrats 👏 I don’t know her because I’m not into drones
but I know and appreciate your brilliant and beautiful photos with drones and not.
