Affinity is now an all-in-one free app with native Canva integration - 9to5Mac

Affinity has announced a complete overhaul of its design suite. Now, the company is unifying all its tools into a single app, for free.

Doesn’t really seem to be much of a catch, other than you need to register for a canva account to download it.

This is definitely in, Canava has become a huge platform that they've been pouring a lot of resources into.

So for someone like me who doesn’t really care about new ai tools and only want to export locally, but may still need a license that permits commercial use; it’s purely free software with no gotcha? Not gonna be covered in ads, sell me to Google or require a subscription to export in more than 1280x720? Almost sounds too good to be true.

Canava is full of gotchas, if you want any real functionality outside of just the basics you'll have to pay for it.

Any thoughts about Canva potentially scraping user images and information to further their AI efforts?

The above is more curiosity. I'm still using and like OmniGraffle (after Deneba's Canvas bit the dust years ago) for my design needs.
